MADRID (SPAIN) The Sacred Dance according to Gurdjieff -Bases for the study and the possible transformation of oneself- "The work is an independent participation in an interdependent process" -Louise Welch- The Gurdjieff Movements are not just extraordinary pieces of choreography, capable of creating a movement spectacle; they are also important as "laboratory" to investigate through the experience the human functioning. This intensive supports the exploration in the laboratory of ourselves what means to live in two worlds simultaneously: the inner and the outer world. The work's program is included within a theoretical-practical frame that makes the integration of the experience and the ideas possible. During this intensive we will work with the Gurdjieff teaching basic ideas and we will combine the Sacred Dances with self-study themes, inner exercises, the development of attention, the training of "listening", the self-observation, corporal expression, meditation and silence towards the balance of the three brains body-mind-feeling and the opening to the sacred. No previous experience in dance, corporal expression or meditation is required. To obtain the full benefit of the program, we suggest the participants to attend all activities. The goal of this workshop is to vivify our life with attention and awareness. Instructor: Uttam Módenes.
